1. What is NFL Flag Football @ BTAA?
- NFL Flag affords BTAA the opportunity to partner with the NFL
- NFL Flag Football is 5-on-5 co-ed play
- Teams are between 8 and 10 players
- Games are two 20 minute halves with a five minute halftime
- There will be five age groups; 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U
- The age breakdown is below:
- 6U - 4, 5, 6 year-olds. Must be 4 years-old by July 31 2022 and must not turn 7 before July 31, 2022
- 8U - 7 and 8 year-olds. Must be 7 by July 31, 2022 and must not turn 9 before July 31, 2022
- 10U - 9 and 10 year-olds. Must be 9 by by July 31, 2022 and must not turn 11 before July 31, 2022
- 12U - 11 and 12 year-olds. Must be 11 by July 31, 2022 and must not turn 13 before July 31, 2022
- 14U - 13 and 14 year- old. Must be 13 by July 31, 2022 and must not turn 15 before July 31, 2022
PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED TO "PLAY UP" BUT NO PLAYER CAN "DROP BACK" UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!
2. When is NFL Flag Football @ BTAA?
- Practices consists of one practice per week one-hour prior to game start time each Saturday. Additional practice days are TBD
- Teams will be drafted: TBD (January 2023)
- Practices begins: Mid January as per coaches' discretion
- Opening day: TBD
- Each team will play 8 - 10 regular season games (depending on the number of teams)
- Game start times will be dependent on the number of teams
3. Where is NFL Flag Football @ BTAA?
- Games will be played on Saturdays at Rivertown II Fields.
- Practice will be one hour prior to the game on Saturdays, with the possibility of one practice day for two hours during week is still TBD
4. How much is NFL Flag Football @ BTAA?
- Registration Fees are $165 per participant
- Registration includes an Official NFL reversible home/away team jersey for games
5. How can I volunteer to be a coach?
- You must register to coach on this website
- All coaches are required to submit to a background check and must be issued a BTAA badge for eligibility to volunteer with , youth
- If you do not have a badge, please send an email to [email protected]
- Coaches are allowed two "protects"; i.e., their own child plus one player
- Coaches must draft the balance of their team
- Players cannot "request" a coach
6. Can I request a team selection?
- Team selection is NOT guaranteed whatsoever.
- The only exception is that a volunteer Head Coach or Assistant Coach can protect/secure their own child within their team. However, this will count against their protects. Each coach will be able to protect up to two (2) players (which includes their child and the children of any assistant coaches).
- Once a player has been drafted by a coach, that coach will contact the players/parents to inform them of their practice/game times.
Important: BTAA does NOT honor carpool or other team selection requests, nor does it honor any requests for certain practice days. Practice days are assigned to coaches after the draft. The BTAA Board reserves the right to make the final decision and exception based on special circumstance.
7. What about refunds?
- After December 31, 2022, no refunds will be given
